Takamichi Saeki, born and raised in Tokyo, moved to New York at 18 to pursue his creative journey. He began working at the ISE Cultural Foundation and later operated his own conceptual art gallery.
In the '90s, he transitioned from the art world to hair design, joining Siren in NoLIta, where his unique blend of artistic sensibility and precision in cutting gained him a devoted following. In 1999, he opened Takamichi Hair, a salon blending art and hair design. Expanding his vision, he launched the Takamichi Beauty Room in 2019 near Gramercy Park, featuring curated beauty products, ceramics, and Japanese goods.
His Takamichi Collection, a luxury hair and body product line in collaboration with Nine Orchard Hotel, extends his aesthetic into scent and design, adding new dimensions to his evolving creative legacy.
