Kate Gibb for Nine Orchard

About

Kate is a silkscreen and print obsessive, currently creating from her makeshift studio in north west London. Her early studies in printed textiles fueled an inherent love for color, shape and texture which continues to provide the base to her works.

The kind of printing she is inspired by is process-led and utilizes chance, hiccups and the happy accidents that this unorthodox approach throws her way. She is known for her music based artworks, predominantly for her long standing relationship with The Chemical Brothers — most recently contributing a new series of artwork that adorned the multiple format release of Paused In Cosmic Reflection, a visual compendium of all things Chemical Brothers, showcasing the band’s past 30 years.

She is also an educator most recently at Brighton School of Art & Liverpool John Moores University.
